What Causes Choking Cough Along With Running Nose In An Infant?

My daughter is 15 weeks old. She has a choking cough and a stuffy/runny nose. I checked her for a fever and she doesnt have one, shes old to the touch, but she is sweating. She cant stay asleep because she keeps choking herself coughing. Shes been eating and having regular dirty diapers, and I have been using a humidifier and a bulb suction to get what I can out of her nose, but it seems to be getting worse. What should I do?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Is she vaccinated for pertussis i.e.whooping cough?
If not,she must be Hospitalised .
If she is having Grunting heart rate increase accessory respiratory muscles usage, wheeze then it can be pneumonia, of course, your pediatrician will diagnose .
Depending on severity of pneumonia, child is admitted or given home treatment.
Pneumonia are due to droplet infection and can infect easily.
If she also has fever and more symptoms then swine flu must be ruled out.
Kindly refer to pediatrician.
