What Causes Chills, Intermittent Fever And Excessive Thirstiness?

I was in a relatively minor car accident 6 days ago. Since then I have had chills and a fever off and on and body aches (which makes sense). My main question is that I have been excessively thirsty since then. I drink tons of water but am still thirsty. I just wanted to know if this is an issue or normal. Thank you!

Diabetologist 's  Response
Hello,

For increased thirst there can be many causes. However, one of the common cause is increased glucose levels in the blood and passing of the same through urine. Thus, please get your blood glucose and HbA1c% and lipid profile.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
