Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have chills in mid to late afternoon about 3-4 times a week. I ve had valley fever 30 years ago and still have occasional sx. I am in my third year of recovery from adrenal fatigue. The chills have occurred intermittently for the past 25 years and have gotten worse in the past few yers. Neither my conventional GP or functional medicine doctor know what is causing it or what to do about it. About 1-2 times a month the chills are so bad that I go to bed, get in a fetal position and try to get as warm as possible. I usually fall asleep shortly after. I have regular check ups and there is no diabetes or pre-diabetes. I seem sensitive to the cold or to anything over 85 degrees. I live in the central valley where summer temps often get over 100 degrees and the cold rarely gets colder than an occasional 40-50 degrees. My thyroid has been a problem for the past 35 years. I am on a natural thyroid ( Armour 120 mg)--previously on Naturethroid until the supply ran out a few months ago and I was unable to get it.
