Hi,
Welcome to Healthcare Magic.
I am Dr Ramadevi Wani. I will be answering your concerns.
Normally baby enters in the pelvis at around 37 weeks of pregnancy. Probably your baby had entered the pelvis early. Usually many such babies ( but not all) deliver early. So your doctor must have put you on bed rest earlier.

Since now you are 37 weeks pregnant, your baby's organs are mature enough. So your doctor is not worried. Internal examination may not have shown any new changes. So your doctor has said that he is not ready to come out. Some women show cervical dilatation at this gestational age and this is normal. Cervical dilatation and increased vaginal discharge suggest that you may start labour pains shortly ( in a week or so). Pelvic soreness is because of baby's head pressing in the pelvis.
If the discharge has bad odor it suggests infection for which you need to consult doctor.
I hope this is helpful.
