What Causes Chest Pain Upon Exhalation?

I have pain in my chest when I exhale extensively. I have physical pain on my chest bone. I had a massage and after lying on my front side for 30-45 mins and flipped over on my back, my chest hurt and it was like my breath was taken away and I needed to cough and catch my breath.

Hi,

The symptoms seem like pleuritic chest pain.

As a first line management, you can take analgesics like Acetaminophen or Tramadol for pain relief.

If symptoms persist better to consult a physician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
