Hi
I am Dr Mittal.
I have read your message.
There are 2 main reasons why you may be facing the problem.
1, the muscles of chest are getting fatigued by prolonged coughing. This is therefore causing pain.
2. The muscles of the neck, that support coughing and excess breathing (known as accessory muscles of breathing) are tired and thereby causing pressure on the nerve roots. The cough therefore increases the pressure in the chest, and therefore on these roots and causes pain.

In either case, the primary treatment is the treatment of the bronchitis. Do let me know what medicines you take and I may be able to help you further.

I have made it as simple as possible to understand.
Best of luck,
Dr Saumya Mittal
