Thanks for your question on HCM.
Your symptoms are suggestive of GERD (Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disease) mostly.
It is due to laxity of gastroesophageal sphincter. Due to this the acid of the stomach tends to come up in the esophagus and cause the symptoms. GERD causes more trouble with oily food. So try to follow these for better control of GERD.
1. Avoid oily, spicy and hot food.
2. Avoid stress and anxiety.
3. Try to loose some weight as obesity worsens GERD.
4. Avoid large meals, instead take frequent small meals.
5. Avoid stress and anxiety.
6. Start proton pump inhibitors.
7. Go for walk after meals.
8. Keep 2-3 pillows under head in bed.
