What Causes Chest Pain, Breathlessness And Pain In The Left Abdomen?

I was suffering from fullness of upper stomach and short breath. After some treatment which gave me some relief, i started suffering from chest pain, short breath and pain in the joint of stomach. Then this pain stretched to the left abdomen side. I have a burning sensation and pain. Last night was sleepless as i had a constant mild pain. I drank antacid but to no avail. I had a temporary relief. Please tell me about it.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Think there is pathology associated with lower lobe of left lung as pneumonia or else, which is giving stretching pain over the diaphragm and upper abdomen left side.

An x-ray of the chest with ultrasound of the abdomen & pelvis are the foremost requirement here to decide the definite line of action, rather than wasting time taking antacid empirically.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Purva Patel, General & Family Physician
