What Causes Chest Pain And Shortness Of Breath?

Hi. I have Addison's disease. I also have hypothyroidism, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and diabetic. I experience chest pains and shortness of breathe,. Had an EKG and Chest xray showing its normal. Pulse rate for some time has been very high . Can go up to 158. What could be the problem?

Thanks for your question on HCM.
I can understand your situation and problem.
In my opinion you should consult cardiologist and get done
1. Stress test
2. 2d echo
3. Coronary Angiography if required.
You are having many risk factor for cardiac disease like high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes etc.
So possibility of either cardiac failure or coronary artery disease (CAD) is high.
Above mentioned tests are useful in ruling out these two possibilities.
If all are normal then no need to worry for cardiac disease.
Get done PFT (Pulmonary Function Test) to rule out bronchitis as a cause.
