What Causes Chest Pain And Palpitations At Night?

I had chest pains and palpations. It only happens at night. Went to ER. They ran the cardiac enzyme test 3 times. when I came in 3 hours later and 3 hours after that. All 3 times it said low TROPONIN I CARDIAC. they did not seem concerned. Everywhere I read online says it is good but can still have underlying cardiac issues. I still have the chest pains and palpations at night. Should I go see a cardiologist for further tests

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Troponin is a fine investigation to detect heart attack. It is better to evaluate thoroughly to rule out underlying cardiac illness. Consult a cardiologist and get evaluated, you might require tests like electrocardiography and tread mill test. Sometimes excessive anxiety can mimic cardiac disease. Avoid unwanted stress and anxiety.

Wishing you good health.

Thanks.
