What Causes Chest Pain And Feeling Of A Lump In Throat?

Hello. I am having a feeling like there is always a lump in my throat. I cannot get a full yawn in...it starts and then it stops. I have occasional burning in my chest. No acid ever comes up into my mouth. occasional chest pain. Often feels like I am swallowing air bubbles and can actually hear them going down glub glub glub when I swallow. Cold liquids burn the back of my throat. What could this be?

Hi.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate history.

All the symptoms you have mentioned are suggestive of GERD but he other possibilities of pharyngeal pouch and such things should be considered.

I would suggest you the following:
Upper GI endoscopy and Pharyngoscopy at the same time to get a correct diagnosis.

Take a course of PPI like Omeprazole, antacid and domperidone.
If all the investigations are normal then you will have to have a consultation of a Psychiatrist as this is then called a globus.
I find this answer helpful
