What Causes Chest Pain Along With Severe Itching And Swollen Lymph Nodes?

Hello, I have been told by doctors that I have positive ana and the Epstein Barr Virus in my blood. I have pain in my chest and under my ribs on the left side, severe itching, fatigue, and swollen lymph nodes in my neck. I have had a biopsy on those lymph nodes and the tests came back normal. However, I am still afraid that I may have lymphoma. I am 22 years old. I m not sure what to do.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Ebstein Barr virus is very difficult to treat, and the symptoms are often implicating lymph nodes in your neck. General malaise and fatigue are also accompanying symptoms. The infection might last for some time. The most important thing is to strengthen your immunity through rest, plenty of water and fresh squeezed juice, appropriate hygiene, gargle with warm water and salt, taking vitamin supplement. For the moment, lymphona is excluded.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
