What Causes Chest Pain After Drinking Diet Pepsi?
Ok, yesterday I drank. Full can of Diet Pepsi and ever since I have felt the need to burp but gas is trapped and when I try to burp I get a sharp pain in the middle of my chest. Otherwise I feel fine. I m a 71 year old active healthy woman. I bought gas ex..and I m drinking a lot of water. .any other suggestions.

Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.
After seeing your symptoms I can tell you that you are having acid reflux ans which need to be treated with H2 receptor blocker at first for relief.
If I am your treating doctor I would like to prescribe you tablet.ranitidine 150mg twice daily before food at least for 3 days and please avoid taking pepsi and spicy foods which will aggravate the reflux.
