What Causes Chest Pain After Ablation Procedure?

Hello, I Had an ablation 2 weeks ago for tachycardia and have severe pain in m y chest, should i worry about this ? I have read That it Is too be expected to Still have rapid heartbeats and some pain in the chest for a few weeks. But it seems to start after I have been at work after about 5 hours in a upright sitting position. Is it because my position is not good for my chest and it sets off the pain? Also I have rapid heartbeat when I eat my meals , is this temporary ? Thank you Irene Frank

Hello There

After going through your medical query I understand your concern and I would like to tell you that rapid heart rate itself is a cause of chest pain and is recommended for you to get an ECG and a HOLTER (ambulatory ECG) done and consult back with reports.

Hopefully this information will guide you properly.

Kind Regards
Dr Bhanu Partap
