What Causes Chest Infection With Swollen Lymph Glands In Neck?

Hi, I have type 1 diabetes and have been give anti-biotics for a chest infection with swollen lymph glands in my neck, but I also have a very painfull swallow lymph in my left groin area. I have been to my GP and they are tesying for Glandula fever. In a test of urine glucose was high, but blood sugars all over the place due to chest infection for 2 weeks just thought it was a cold - any ideas?
