I have lost my virginity about a year ago and then havent had sex in a long time but now i am sexually active again. But now everytime i have sex it is painful. It is a burning sensation and im not sure if it is because i am kind of newer and my vagina needs to stretch or if it is a real problem and i need to get it looked at. What do you think?
Being newer in sex life, the pain that you would get would be insertional pain. The burning pain is indication of some type of vaginal infection. It may be fungal infection, Trichomonal infection or Bacterial infection.
Fungal infection causes curdy flaky discharge. It can be treated by antifungal medicines.
Trichomonal discharge is greenish white frothy discharge. It can be treated with Metronidazole.
Bacterial infection can be mucoid or yellowish white with foul smell. These can be treated with suitable appropriate antibiotics.
Please report to your Gynaecologist for appropriate diagnosis by clinical examination. Till the infection is cured, please observe sexual abstinence.
These infections can be transmitted sexually. Hence, both of you should undergo the treatment simultaneously.
I hope this will guide you for appropriate action.
