Hi,

Noted your history of burning sensation in hte Nasopharynx area as your have explained well.
The causes can be one of the following:
Any inflammation for which the cause may be allergic or infection.
Enlarged adenoids with hypersensitivity.
Neurological problems.
This can be diagnosed by ENT Endoscopy, X-ray lateral view of nasopharynx or CT to confirm.
Relevant tests of blood.
Throat swab from that part.
This will give the diagnosis and direction for proper management which can be in the form of antibiotic, anti-inflammatory, antihistamine with decongestant properties.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, ENT & General Surgeon
