What Causes Burning And Sharp Pain In Stomach Where The Ribcage Meets?

I have been having burning, and sharp pain in my stomach. In the middle where the rib cage meets. Where the soft spot is. I m a 37 year old female. Could yiu tell me what could be causing this? I ve been having this problem for about 5 days. Thank you.
