What Causes Bumps On Upper Edge Of Eyelid?

I have had this tiny white bump on the upper edge of my eyelid that is contact with the cornea; it rubs and irritates my eyeball. I have proceeded to just scratch it off (there is a little bleeding) and it continues to grow back....just recently I have noticed 2 other bumps next to the first original bump. What are these bumps and what are they caused from?

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Hello
Welcome to Health care magic

I reviewed your history. It seems from the history that you are having bumps on the eyelid.
These indicate inflammatory swellings of the glands of the eyelids. The treatment of this condition is by use of antibiotics in the form of eye drops and eye ointments. Along with antibiotics, anti-inflammatory drugs and warm compression will provide symptomatic relief.
Since the swellings are recurrent, the predisposing factors like blepharitis, uncorrected refractive errors and general factors like diabetes, deficiency of essential nutrients need to be ruled out and treated if any.

Hence I advice you to consult your ophthalmologist for examination for confirmation of diagnosis and treatment accordingly.

Thank you
