What Causes Brownish Discharge After Using Birth Control Pills?
Hi, this is my second month on birth control. I am taking the in active pills right now and haven't gotten my period. Two days before my inactive pills I had brown discharge and it wasn't a lot. I still have it any only notice it when I go to the bathroom. Yesterday and today I had a spot of red and now some dark little clumps. It's not enough to wear a pad or even need a tampon. I had a misscarriage in October and not sure if my body is back to normal. I'm concerned because we have had a lot unprotected sex lately, other than taking the birth control. I'm not sure if this spotting is from the birth control or what is going on.
Hello I share your concern Looking at your description, it might be related to any of these conditions 1.menstrual bleed, since it is due as well 2.infection or pelvic inflammatory disease since you had unprotected sex 3. miscarriage which is a rare possibility
I would advise you to go for urine pregnancy card test to start with to rule out pregnancy or miscarriage, after that testing to rule out infection like urine culture and sensitivity test, vaginal swab culture test or an ultrasound pelvis if need be.
You may require a course of antibiotics under medical supervision. Have plenty of fluids maintain good hygiene
Hope this answers your question, please feel free to ask for further assistance, I will be happy to help you Best wishes
