I have an obgyn question. I had my IUD removed september 8th. I finally had a normal cycle last month that was 28 days long. I had a period for 3 days. I was like that before IUD. We have been ttc for 2 months. Last month I had spotting just alittle the day before my period showed up. I am 11dpo today. Starting 9 dpo I had an increase in CM. It started to have a pinkish tint to it. It lasted til 10 dpo. Today I have had alot of CM that is brown. I am suppose to expect my period to show in 2 days. Could this be implantation bleeding or just my period? I ask bc I have never had brown discharge before at all. Especially before my period. Thanks!
Hi, Implantation bleeding is usually a fresh bleed and appears pinkish in color. Brown discharge usually implies old collected blood. It could also mean a breakthrough bleed. Yet, as you are trying to conceive, you should exclude/confirm pregnancy first. You may either wait for 3-7 days if you miss your next natural period and go for a HPT, or get an assessment of the serum beta-hCG titres now. The latter is an earlier and better way of confirmation. Hope you find this information useful. Take care.
