OBGYN, Maternal and Fetal Medicine 's  Response
Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Spotting in early pregnancy can be due to:
1. Missed abortion, especially when there is brown discharge
2. Haemorrhage around the foetus( subchorionic haemorrhage)
3. Ectopic pregnancy.
Since there is no pain, the chances of ectopic pregnancy are low. All these conditions are differentiated using ultrasound.
Since you are consulting your OBGYN tomorrow, then in the meantime you can take rest, avoid heavy work and avoid intercourse.
Your doctor will properly examine, investigate and treat you.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.
