What Causes Brown Spotting At 40th Week Of Pregnancy?

Im 22 years old mesure 5'4 weighting 252 pounds just hit 40 weeks today, and on saturday i released my mucus plug it was brown. Ever since every time i go to the bathroom and wipe there was was brown discharge but just now i went and and wen i wiped there was pink discharge and blood clot

hello dear,I understand your concern.In my opinion as you have reached 40 wks there might be prelabour changes and meanwhile the labour might start.The brown discharge might be from cervix. If your placenta is not low lying then you need not worry.The bleeding might be labour related.I suggest you to get a check up done to rule out the status of cervix by your consultant.As long as you have good fetal movements you need not worry.
