Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history of suffering from IBS and taking Levbid for a couple of years , stopped them as it was not working, started taking colon health, a probiotic. Now brown liquid for a bowel movement since last week and half, stomach sounds like critters roaring in and have numerous accidents due to it. The cause for the liquid brown stool may be an intestinal infection. I would advise you the following in such a situation: Get the stool tested for three consecutive days. Blood: CBC, thyroid and sugar tests along with other relevant tests. Ultrasonography of abdomen and also a CT scan if needed. Colonoscopy. All these investigations will lead to a proper diagnosis by confirming or by ruling out a specific cause so that an appropriate management can be done. Symptomatic treatment in the form of continuation of Colon Health, Imodium if needed. Antibiotic and metronidazole as a course should help one out.
