What Causes Bright Red Bleeding After Intercourse?
Hi, I'm 17 years old and am on ridgevidon. I've been on the pill for about 4 months and I have unprotected sex with my boyfriend. We had sex a lot 2 and 3 days ago. It has been two days since I last had sex with him and I've started bleeding a little bit. It's not a lot but its bright red and kind of mucusy. It's very thin. I can't be pregnant because I'm on the pill and I'm not on my period because I came off the day before I had sex with my boyfriend. I don't know what it is?
There are two possibilities: 1. In the heat of the a lot of sex during last 2-3 days, you could have had a small trauma to the vagina or vulva in too much of vigour. 2. If your ridgevidon tablets packet is finished, this could be the withdrawal bleeding - your menses. Have sexual rest for few days for the bleeding to stop. If it is wound, let it heal. You will be OK. If the bleeding continues, please report to your gynaecologist. Sex while vaginal bleeding carries the risk of infection.
