What Causes Breathlessness, Blood In Urine And Pain While Walking?
Hi I am enquiring about my dad who is 67, medical history of ruptured AAA in 2010, and triple bypass in 2011 who is now presenting with blood in urine samples, breathlessness and pain in back, and pain when walking. Any help would be appreciated. thankyou
Hi, Pain in the back and blood in the urine could indicate a renal pathology. It could be a stone or a tumor and requires an ultrasound of abdomen for confirmation or to rule out any pathology related to kidney. He must be loosing blood leading on to low hemoglobin (anemia). This could lead to his present weakness and breathlessness. I would suggest you to get a urine examination for blood along with hemoglobin level in blood tested. If the levels are low, it can be improved with a nutritious diet and iron, folic acid and vitamin B complex tablets. Do meet a nephrologist and get the ultrasound scan of abdomen done at the earliest to rule out any major pathology. If you any further queries, happy to help again.
