What Causes Breathing Difficulty And Numbness On The Face?

HI .... I have breathing problems that seem to be brought on by exercise & made worse in heat & humidity. I have a hard time breathing plus my face starts to go numb & sometimes when it s really bad my arms & legs get numb & I get tremors so bad that my whole body shakes pretty badly. Last time it happened I could hardly walk. Once I rest, I get better, but feel completely wiped out for the next couple days. Exercise-induced asthma has been ruled out. Had a brain scan - nothing there. Have even been to Mayo. No one seems to be able to figure it out & it s getting worse. Any ideas? Kate Willer - YYYY@YYYY

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have breathing difficulty and numbness on the face. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like cervical spondylosis , cervical radiculopathy , nerve compression , or symptoms or angina . Allergic reaction can also cause such symptoms. I would suggest you to consult general physician for proper examination. Doctor may order CT scan or MRI . Doctor may prescribe nerve supplement muscle relaxant along with anti inflammatory, anti histamine and physical therapy along with particular stretching exercises . Doctor may also refer you to allergy specialist for allergic problem or cardilogist. For now eat healthy and apply cold compresses to hands .

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Get Well Soon.

Best Wishes,
