I was pregnant with twin boys 4 years ago. I was 6 months pregnant and i was on complete bed rest. the nurses bathed me in bed but decided to get me out of bed to wash my hair. after they were done washing my hair and put me back in bed i started feeling contractions. I had an emergency c-section and both of my boys were born with level 4 brain hemmorages. what could have caused this?

Hello,
The cause of such hemorrhages can be due to maternal conditions like blood disorders like thrombocytopenia, convulsions, drugs, severe abdominal trauma or fetal conditions like feto-maternal hemorrhage, death of a twin, blood disorders, congenital tumors or twin-twin transfusion etc. Exact cause could have been known only at the time of the incident. There are antenatal investigations using ultrasound to detect risk-prone case in advance. Hope you find this information useful. Take care.
