What Causes Blurred Vision?

My vision has been getting extremely blurred, almost blind feeling, and also feeling like I am cross eyed... it lasts about 30 seconds... if I cover one eye, I can see just fine, if I cover the other eye, I can see just fine, but when looking with both eyes it feels like my head is spinning and that I cant see temporarily. This started while I was on vacation in New York last week. It happened the first time as I was walking down some stairs, I had to stop because I couldnt see anything for about 30 seconds. I was riding a lot of busses, trains, subways, etc... where I'm usually not used to doing that much traveling in moving vehicles while standing and looking around... I live in Florida and just ride in a car.I thought it just had to do with all the motion and things like that... but now I have been home for 2 days and it is still happening. It seems to happen after I look down. I looked down at my keyboard and then when I looked up, I felt cross eyed and my vision was blurry, my eyes feel strained, hurting as if I were literally crossing my eyes intentionally. (keep in mind that if I look in the mirror, or at my husband, he says that my eyes are NOT appearing crossed at all... they look completely normal on the outside... it is the feeling I get that they are crossed.

Hello
It seems from the history that you are having blackouts of vision lasting for about 30 seconds.
These symptoms indicate transient ischemic attack.
The common causes for transient ischemic attack are retinal vascular diseases like vein and artery occlusion, as a part of migraine, carotid artery disease...
This requires evaluation to find out the underlying cause and treatment accordingly.
Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.

Thank you
