What Causes Blurred Vision While Suffering From Diabetes?

My wife has experienced blurry vision in the last two weeks. Her eye doctors have thoroughly examined her eyes and cant find anything wrong. However, she does have a high blood sugar reading of late, 128mg. She is not diabetic, but could this level cause blurriness, or does it have to be much higher? Does she have to be diabetic for it to effect her eyes that way?
