What Causes Blurred Vision And Pain In Eye After An Eye Injury?

I was cutting my grass on a riding mower this afternoon. A rock went flying out of the chute, hit a piece of plywood and then proceeded to hit my eyeball. the force of the rock tore my contact lens. I now have some pain in the eye, many many red lines and blurry vision. There are occasional "stars". I am wondering if this requires a trip to the ER, or can it wait 10 hours until an urgent care clinic opens up for the day?
