What Causes Blood Discharge After Having Cervical Cautery?

Hi Doctor. I had a cervical Cautery 2 weeks back. my OB Gyne doctorgave mepain medicine and antibiotics ( which i have been taking as suggested). Despite taking these medicines, i started to have watery discharge then it turned yellow. But on the 12th day after cauterization, I started to bleed and my pad soaked up with blood. i headed to ER and they did silver nitrate cautery.Even after this i still have some blood discharge with a lot of pain in lower abdomen. plz advise if this all is normal? OB and GYN Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

Sometimes complications happen. I suggest you go for a USG pelvis so that we can overcome the cause of bleeding. Further, go for a coagulogram profile.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Naira Jahangir, OB and GYN Specialist
