What Causes Blocked Ear With Ringing In It?

Hi, my left ear feels blocked and rings, as though I have water stuck in it. The blocked feeling has been for the last 2-3 months with intermittent ringing. The ringing gets worse each time I exercise and results in me feeling very nauseous and dizzy. I went to my gp who prescribed anti biotics which had no effect, I don't feel that I can go back to him as I felt that he totally dismissed my complaint, he examined my ear and found it clear, I've had a hearing test and all was fine, a nurse examined my ears and also said it was clear. I went running 2 days ago and the ringing is worse and feels more blocked. It's really frustrating and annoying and I can't exercise while my ear rings.
I'm a 29 year old female, 5'7" in height and weigh 82kilos. I have mild asthma controlled by salbutamol and suffer with sinus problems especially with changes in air pressure.
