What Causes Bloating Post Pain Killer Withdrawal?

I am a disabled veteran that has been on morphine and other pain killers for almost 20 years through the V.A. Hospital. I finally took it apoun myself to go through DETOX and made it without any of there medications. I now have STOMACH BLOATING and I want to know if this is from withdraw??

Noted the history and understood your concerns.
As per the history that you are a disabled veteran and taking morphine and other painkillers for the last 20 years but decided to stop these. That is a great decision in fact.
Since you are on such medications for the last 20 years that have direct effect on all body organs and particularly the gastrointestinal tract, you may get the bloating as a withdrawal phenomenon as the body will take some time to get adjusted to the low or no morphine and other painkillers.
I would advise you the following as you are so sincere in get to stop all such medications:
Get a consultation of your Doctor and get a referral for the ones that have experience in withdrawal from such medications. He will guide you thoroughly so that you get minimum withdrawal symptoms and you will be fine over the time in future.
Since you are well determined, withdrawal is a small hindrance that you can easily cross-over.
In the meantime try activated charcoal tablets, laxative with sodium picosulfate
