What Causes Blisters On The Tongue And Throat?

I am currently taking Duromine, my tongue and throat are covered with what seems to be little blisters. Would it be caused from taking the Duromine? I also have ulcerative colitis and have recently become a vegetarian so was thinking it could also be related to that maybe a lack of B12.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns.

As per your complain Duromine contains active ingredient Phenteramine and it is a weight loss medicine..
It is seen to cause mouth ulcers as a side effect but it is not a very frequent symptoms..
Therefore deficiency of Vitamin B12 is a more probable cause of tongue and throat ulcers..
Other causes can be iron deficiency, acid reflux, stress, excessive intake of sour foods, allergic reaction to medication etc..
I would suggest you to take multivitamin supplements..
Gargle with warm saline solution..
Gargle with a numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine..
Avoid spicy and hard foods..
Suck ice and rinse with cold water..
Maintain a good oral hygiene..
In case of no improvement in a week consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
