I have a red bruise/(blood blister?) in a thin line across my upper lip in my mouth. It feels like when you have a split lip when I stretch my mouth. Is this anything serious? I've never had it before, and I don't know how it happened - maybe in my sleep? Female, 24, 5'7", 135lbs.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain red bruise in case if it is in the form of a small lump can be a hematoma that is caused due to traumatic injury or a mucocele which is formed due to ruptured duct of minor salivary gland or clogged duct of the gland.. In case if it is just like a rash it can be due to injury or occurrence of a blood blister or can also be a Hemangioma.. I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and treatment can be planned according to the cause. As of now do warm saline gargles and avoid hot and spicy food..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
