What Causes Bleeding After Delivery For Long Time?

I had a baby 21 weeks ago and I have had bleeding postpartum since. I had a depo 2 days after which seems to be the cause for it to continue for so long. I m not taking any contraception at the moment and me and my husband are not having sex. However I have been cleared to use tampons after I was checked to see if there was any serious cause for the bleeding. I had a clean clean tampon no bleeding for a few days then I started bleeding again. This bleed lasted about 3/4 days and I have brown discharge again with a few brown lumps. I was wondering if I will begin bleeding again or if this may be a sign the bleeding is stopping.

Hi,

1) This could be due to hormonal variations.

2) Get examined by your doctor in person.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
