What Causes Blackening Of Vaginal Lip During Pregnancy?

my friend just called and she i 9 weeks pregnant and noticed her vagina was puffy when she woke up this morning and just left it alone for the day and now noticed that the one side lip is turning black, i was just wandering why that would be happing ??
