Hello there, my boyfriend who is in his mid twenties has been diagnozed with Pseudtumor celebri according to doctors back 7 months ago. About 2 days ago they finally confessed to him that he has Optic Nerve Atrophy since he has worsen; this making me want to research and learn more about it. i have been searching for it and itskinda wierd cuz he says he has black spot visions when he looks out and its almost at its worst condiiton where he is almost completely blind. i was wondering he hasnt been losing his color vision he says but he does see dark spots and i dont see that as a symptom. can he possibly be diagnozed correctly?

Hello
Welcome to Health care magic

I reviewed your history. It seems from the history that your boy friend is having pseudotumor cerebri. The presence of optic atrophy is an alarming sign and aggressive treatment for pseudotumor cerebri is required urgently by decreasing the intraocular pressure to prevent blindness as blindness caused by optic nerve atrophy is irreversible.
Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly without delay.

Thank you
