What Causes Bartholin Gland To Produce More Lubrication?

My bartholin gland seems to be, uh, producing way too much lubricate--all the time. I ve also been having slight cramps and fatigue for awhile before I noticed the bartholin gland being weird. Keep in mind that I ve never had sex. What could be causing this? Is it worth consulting my doctor (my insurance sucks, so I d prefer not to).

Hi there,
Going through your question, I am of the opinion that:
1) If the vaginal discharge is clear and non foul smelling, you can happily ignore it as it is perfectly normal.
2) However, if you have a foul smelling vaginal discharge which is white, curdy, yellow, green or cream in colour, it could be a sign of infection.
3) If vaginal discharge is accompanied by redness, pimples or rash, it needs evaluation.
4) The amount of lubrication changes with every phase of menstrual cycle as well as on your emotional status.

Hope this helped.
Regards,
Dr. Shikha
