What Causes Arrhythmic Heart Beat Along With Shortness Of Breath?

Hi I m a female and I am 44 years of age. i have been experiencing weird heart beats almost like spasms. This occurs at random times and especially after I eat or when I lay down at night. Also have been experiencing shortness of breath for at least 2 months. Also experiencing a lot of upper back and neck pain. Could these all be signs of heart disease.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have arrhythmic heart beat along with shortness of breath . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like acid reflux , atrial fibrillation , other cardiac conditions and anxiety attack . I would suggest you to consult cardiologist to rule out more serious condition first . Doctor may order ECG , TMT , complete blood profile and sometimes angiography . Doctor may prescribe calcium channel blockers ,aspirin , sedatives and recommend pace maker . Doctor may also refer you to psychologist . For now stay calm and take proper rest . Avoid caffeinated product , also consult chest specialist for chest infection .
