. In females:
pregnancy, problems at home, with in laws or children?

Pulmonary tuberculosis may present only with anorexia
. In old patient with anorexia first thing of carcinoma of stomach
. Rule out
jaundice,fevet,anemia
1. If there is no response to symptomatic treatment then inveatigate for
. Blood: Hb%, S.
Bilirubin, Urea
. Urine: for bile salts
. X-ray chest
. Gastroscopy and
Ultrasound of abdomen in elderly patients
2. If loss of weight is more then check with:
. Hb%,WBC,ESR & Urine routine
. Blood sugar curve for diabetes
. H.I.V. test as routine
. Serum T3,T4,& TSH
. Other test mentioned above.
3. Tonics and injection alone are not going to help to build the body mass,good food (rich in proteins) and exercise must accompany the medicine for a substantial gain in weight.
