What Causes Anal Bleeding During Pregnancy?

Good morning

I am 7 mos pregnant & a couple days ago I've recently tried to pass a BM inwhich was hard. I assumed it was an result of constipation because I still felt I had to go however I couldn't because I had started feeling a burning pain in my anus area. Now I'm witnessing when I wipe back there after urinating- there is blood on the toilet paper & my anus still hurts slightly.
What could be the source of this problem please?

Hello,
When hard stool is passed, there is trauma to the soft mucus lining of the bowel and this leads to tears and hence bleeding or spotting that you have seen. This can be taken care of by softening the stool, using anal analgesic and healing creams and adequate liquids. Please take adequate rest, fluids, fresh fruits and vegetables. You may also take stool softeners like lactulose if needed. You can apply anal creams to help healing. Hope you find this information useful. Take care.
