What Causes Abscess On Right Index Finger And Hand?

Hi, I have a whitlow on my right index finger and also on the other hand I have a rash, like 3 hives, a rash. Any idea what this could be. worried it may be a shingles attack although the hives are on the other side of body and I ve had shingles before.

Shingles normally recurs in a particular area of the body repeatedly. If this rash is occurring in the area where shingles previously occurred and it is painful then it is possible that it is shingles.

Lesions on fingers can be due to different causes including warts. There are medications that can treat these effectively.

It may be best to have your doctor take a look to determine the cause of the rash.
