What Causes Abnormal Vision?
I go from room light to looking outside during daylight and about 2 or 3 times a month I get a bright white light in the center of my vision. If I lay down and cover my eyes, The bright ball gradually dissipates by forming an expanding bright circle and expanding outward from the center. It takes about 20 minutes to expand beyond my vision and then everything returns to normal. Transition from dark to light returns to normal. During this time my vision is normal outside of the ball or circle but very blurring when trying to look through the ball or expanding circle.

it can be said after proper refraction and exclusion of refractive error. fundus should be examined to exclude hole tear or peripheral detachment. macula and fovea should be examined. exclude macular burn. dark and light adaptation should be assessed may be a problem with light and dark adaptation degenerative condition of rods and cone should be assessed.

What you are experiencing is a floater with a flash.
Some times these symptoms are
-1.Normal---when seen occasionally WITHOUT any frequent flashes /permanent visual changes due to changes in the vitreous gel inside out eye(vitreous floaters,PVD-Posterior vitreous detachment).
-2.A big concern----when they are recurrent,and gives you a persisiting blurry vision.This could be an early sign of retinal detachment/retinal tear,which needs an immediate medical attention.
-3.Sometimes as an Aura in migraine---few patients do notice this visual disturbances just before they get a migraine headache which is called Ocular migraine.
So,I would advice you to get a complete eye exam done, to know the root cause and get appropriate treatment.
