What Causes Abnormal Heart Rhythms?

Since 2009 I have had episodes of skipped heartbeats that are followed by a big beat that will actually move my chest. I get these sometimes so frequently now, like at least ten a minute or more. Seems more when Im not active, when siting on the couch watching tv, standing still...etc. Dr says it happens to those in menopause. But I didnt have a hysterectomy till 2010... I just worry because its so often

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* Abnormal heart rhythms may be part of physiologic changes in conduction by various means of altered functioning of pacemaker as SA node or AV node, else conduction pathway disturbances from various other causes.

Kindly get an EKG done with your family physician for best possible guidelines possible at this stage.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
