I m 76 years old. No heart trouble except a skip beat every now and then. My doctor said it was not a problem. I started about a month ago getting dizzy when i lay down on my right side or when i get up but it doesn t last more than a minute . Should i see my doctor?

Hello. You might be having postural hypotension. That is fall in Blood pressure immediately after getting up. So i suggest you to sit for a while once you get up from supine position. After 2 mins you can start walking. This is quite common as age advances. But in any case you can consult the physician to rule out any other cause of giddiness. All the best
