What Causes Abnormal Heart Rhythm When Stressed?

I have a heart rhythm irregularity in that my heart skips beats, especially when I m under stress (I had another episode, much worse) about 9-10 yrs. ago and started on Atenolol which seemed to help dramatically until recently). Both times I have been under extreme duress. My doctor knows about this condition but didn t seem concerned about it. I would like your opinion, please.

HI welcome to HCM.
Skipped beats have to be carefully evaluated.A baseline EKG with 24 h holter ecg can accurately diagnose the missed beats.A screening 2 dimensional echo can help to rule out organic heart lesions.Drugs like metoprolol and amiodarione can treat the conduction disturbances.reduce the intake of coffee.consult your cardiologist for further queries.
THank you
