My family doctor thinks I have a fib. She sent me to a cardialagist who has done a stress test and ecocardagram - both were normal. I also had a loop monitor for 2 weeks, I do not have results yet. In the mean time I am worried because my symptons are worse. Once I almost passed out (heart racing). A few times very light headed, pounding in my chest, sometimes my heart races but mostly it skips beats,(can last from 5 min. To a couple of hours) also when my heart is racing or skipping it makes me cough a very deep cough. Is it safe to wait for the results from the loop monitor - maybe a week or 2 or should I go to the emergency?
