Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history of Left lower
abdominal pain that needed pain medication for the past few months. Had bad bout of Shingles, feces is very very light almost white, ultrasound, trans-vaginal renal are normal. Normal PAP, wants to know what to do? And what questions to ask the Doctor.
Pale and almost white stools need the following investigations:
Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) as it can detect the reason for while stools, the cause of obstruction of the bile flow into the duodenum, MRCP may help further.
The pain in the left lower abdomen may be due to colitis and not really related to white stool or liver functions.
Shingles can have long lasting pain in the area of the distribution of the affected nerve.
I would also advise you to have tests of blood for Liver function tests, particularly
alkaline phosphatase and GGT as these can tell about obstructive pathology.
If required
colonoscopy, tests of stool and urine should be done to find for the causes and get treated accordingly.
AN opinion of a
General Surgeon can help you for clinical evaluation and proper management and advise regarding any further tests and treatment options.
